Real time low poly model inspired on the design of Jim Dobbler
Turnaround, please switch to hd mode:
Hope you like it, cheers!
Hey yah!
I made this realtime lowpoly version of Link from Zelda based on the concept of Marty Seefeldt
4630 Triangles and a 1024 difuse map.
Rendered in Marmoset.
Hi guys, I’ve been working on this game model for a while.
Realtime lowpoly render:
Total of 13.319 triangles.
Texture: Difuse, normal, spec and alpha.
Body: 11.254 tri and 2048×2048 Maps.
Weapon: 2.065 tri and 1024×1024 Maps.
Based on the concept from Bruno Gauthier.
Hi Guys,
I spend some time fighting against chavant studying traditional sculpting.
I have to do some more fine details in the piece to just finish it up.
Hope you like it.
I’ve gotta say I learned a lot and had a bunch of help from Helder Moreira which was my tutor in these last months. (I’m very proud of that).
Great guy, very humble and fully skilled.
Just a great artist.
I got some free time these last nights to finish off with this personal project. As there was no model-sheets and few good references, I do have to say that I learned a lot with it and pass through a bunch of problem / solving situations.
First idea I wanted to have just one render of the model, but during the process evolution, I ended up working in the topology, making it all four sided polygons and reduction the polygons count.
So, here is some pics of the work where you can see the color and wireframe and a turntable video so you guys can checkup the entire model from more angles.
Watto – Turntable from Roger El Santos on Vimeo.
Modeled in XSI, rendered in Mental Ray. All four quad. 3769 polygons.
I tried to apply most of technics learned at Melies in this final render.
I’d like to thank my teachers Fernando Brandão and Bruno Macedo for all the tips and stuff. You two guys were great helping me during the training. Also I’d like to thank Karina Faiani to allow me use her photo as background.
Cheers!
This model was stuck since last year. I made the modeling and did not had the time needed to work on texturing, so, my teacher Bruno Macedo made the texturing and ilumination scene work. Great job man!
Model by me, textures, lighting, scenario and rendering by Bruno Macedo.
